Tip 1:
If a limb of portion of the body of the person, or animal is ticking you off, take it off and replace it, or just leave it off. This makes it a good opportunity to turn the pic into a Sci-Fi one.
Tip 2:
Have references. It helps in anything you have problems in drawing. Like, I have a hell of a problem with animals. So, I look a pictures of the critter and use that as reference to draw it.
Tip 3:
Don't press you pencil too hard on the paper. It'll leave visible marks that are often times hard to get rid of no matter how many times you erase it. You can still see in my pictures some of that still there.
Tip 4:
If you're frustrated with a piece, out it down and do something else. I've done it many times. Though the only warning I have for this tip, is that you will end up having some permenantly unfinished pieces in your possessions, if you anything like me, who somethimes loses interest in a piece for a long time.
Tip 5:
Have a good eraser and pencil. I prefer having Dixon Tichonderoga #2 pencils, but that's your choice.
Tip 6:
Practice, Practice, Practice. When I started a long time ago, my pictures sucked like hell. Now I'm much better than I was in Elementry and Middle School.
Tip 7:
The best inspiration is boredum. I draw many beautiful pieces when I'm bored. They're even better than the pictures that I plan out and do for a purpose.
Hope this helps everybody.
